OpenPM² is a free version of the PM² methodology developed by the European Commission in 2007. Until the end of 2016, PM² methodology and certification was only available to EU institutions’staff, with the OpenPM², the EU Commission decides to provide open access to the PM² Project Management Methodology beyond purely EU institutions and including Contractors, Member States and finally all EU citizens.

OpenPM² is based on best practices, standards and methodologies, such as PRINCE2, PMI’s PMBOK and IPMA and it was adopted by all European institutions due to its simplicity.

OpenPM² addresses typical project issues like low maturity organisations, lack of executive support, inconsistent vocabularies between project actors.

PM² is open source: the European Commission aims at improving the effectiveness of EU funded projects(ERDF, H2020, Life etc.) by encouraging project teams to adopt a methodology and manage projects in a professional manner.

Are you involved  in EU project funding (responding to Calls, managing funds) and would you like to improve the quality of the proposals (better estimates, better scheduling and resource planning),PM² provides guidance for all people involved in such projects.

Would you like to know more about it?

Join our webinar and the PM² expert Laurent Kummer.

He actively took part to the PM2 Initiative and had a relevant role in the development of the PM² best practice. Laurent is the right person to address all of your questions about Open PM²! Just sign up to our free webinar!
